According to Wikimapia.org‘s entry for Bangkok Jam (Kuala Lumpur):
GL-10, BB Park, Plaza Low Yat
No. 7, Jalan 1/77, Off Jalan Bukit Bintang
55100 Kuala Lumpur
Phone: (+603) 2142 3449
Operator Website: www.seacuisine.com.my/ [The website declares a “Server Error 403 – Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.” That certainly leads me to conclude that it is offline insofar as the public is concerned. ─Garnet Barcelo]
12:00noon – 1:00am (Daily)
Located in the heart of the city’s bustling shopping district, Bukit Bintang, Bangkok Jam does well at emulating Thailand’s vibrant capital. This restaurant may be characterised by an energetic environment, which features traditional Siamese delicacies in a serene yet sophisticated setting. This combined with an exquisite range of dishes makes for a dining experience that is uniquely Thai.
Bangkok Jam is also perfect for a quick drink after a hard day’s work, as it serves a variety of beers and cocktails, not forgetting a varied selection of Thai beer. Teetotalers can also look forward to delightful renditions of Thai Iced Tea and coffee to cool their tastebuds.
Please note that I am editing this post on February 7, 2015.
Some research I have done this morning offered conflicting information by way of two reviews.
According to TripAdvisor reviewer plGouda, who “visited March 2013” and “reviewed 31 August 2013:”
My favorite hang out but 🙁 no longer here
The have a new place in Farenheit Mall called Bangkok beat.
But a very small menu , inside a mall ;(.
I’ve tried it but would not recommend going here
Yet according to TripAdvisor reviewer Plog60, who “visited March 2014” (a full year later) and “reviewed 16 March 2014:”
I decided to have lunch at Bangkok Jam, which turned out to be a mistake. The service is flaky, my order was mixed up, and the starter came in after the main course. The main course prawn with glass noodles was so-so, but it was not what I ordered….. The starter “fish balls” was greasy and tasted nothing, so I sent it back. They didn’t charge me for the starter, and corrected the bill, so that I only paid for the main course I actually ordered, so that was fair.
There are several other restaurants, and a food court nearby, so it’s better to go elsewhere until Bangkok Jam get their act together.
There most definitely is a Bangkok Beat Bistro, as the first reviewer claimed ─ but did it replace Bangkok Jam, or is it simply a sister location that opened up and operates in conjunction with Bangkok Jam? Bangkok Beat Bistro‘s details, according to OpenRice.com (Bangkok Beat Bistro) are as follows:
Lot 2-04, Level 2, Fahrenheit 88, 179, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Bukit Bintang, 55100
Thai / Restaurant / Group/Family dining
RM21 – RM40
That given website is definitely offline.
My final conclusion is that both locations continue to operate simultaneously.
Note ─ the following is an excerpt from a superb review given by Sara Ikmal that was published July 31, 2014:
It’s not your typical Thai restaurant. I’m used to the more traditional setting, and this is a fresh change of scene. The paintings are bright and vibrant, with a very pop art feel; I loved the funky atmosphere here. Bangkok Beat Bistro is a partner restaurant to Bangkok Jam, which can be found in Singapore, Taipei and Taichung. The restaurant in Empire is the first in Malaysia, and specially adapted to the local Muslim majority – you won’t find any pork or lard in this joint.
Sara even offers Bangkok Beat Bistro‘s Facebook page, but there has not been a more recent post there since January 20, 2014; and the website offered on Facebook is the same one that I included just above (http://www.bangkokbeat.com.my/) which is no longer online.
So both restaurants likely still operate…they are just shoddy where maintenance of an online presence is concerned.
As I mentioned earlier, I am making this post edit on February 7, 2015. Since I really have nothing else to lay out concerning Bangkok Jam, I am now going to present a wide variety of references for broad informational and reading-entertainment purposes ─ I hope you enjoy browsing through.

Data Communications and Networking is designed to help students understand the basics of data communications and networking, and the protocols used in the Internet in particular by using the protocol layering of the Internet and TCP/IP protocol suite. Technologies related to data communication and networking may be the fastest growing in today’s culture. The appearance of some new social networking applications is a testimony to this claim. In this Internet-oriented society, specialists need to be trained to run and manage the Internet, part of the Internet, or an organization’s network that is connected to the Internet. As both the number and types of students are increasing, it is essential to have a textbook that provides coverage of the latest advances, while presenting the material in a way that is accessible to students with little or no background in the field.
Using a bottom-up approach, Data Communications and Networking presents this highly technical subject matter without relying on complex formulas by using a strong pedagogical approach supported by more than 830 figures. Now in its Fifth Edition, this textbook brings the beginning student right to the forefront of the latest advances in the field, while presenting the fundamentals in a clear, straightforward manner. Students will find better coverage, improved figures and better explanations on cutting-edge material. The “bottom-up” approach allows instructors to cover the material in one course, rather than having separate courses on data communications and networking.

The Bridge On The River Kwai (Amazon U.K.)
The Bridge on the River Kwai tells the story of three POWs who endure the hell of the Japanese camps on the Burma-Siam railway – Colonel Nicholson, a man prepared to sacrifice his life but not his dignity; Major Warden, a modest hero, saboteur and deadly killer; Commander Shears, who escaped from hell but was sent back. Ordered by the Japanese to build a bridge, the Colonel refuses, as it is against regulations for officers to work with other ranks. The Japanese give way but, to prove a point of British superiority, construction of the bridge goes ahead – at great cost to the men under Nicholson’s command.
