In researching this post, I came across many websites — generally blogs — that were strictly in the Malay language, but which were quite rich with photographs. I decided to dismiss them from inclusion in the assemblage that follows, for Google Translate made little sense when it translated the Malay into English. One was left with illustrations that were essentially meaningless.
If I had attempted to list websites that only discussed traveling from Taiping to Lumut — or the reverse — this would be a very short post.
As for the actual distance between the two Malaysian locations:
Distance from Taiping to Lumut is 92.9 km (57.73 mi) – required time: 1 hour 41 mins
Another website (http://www.rome2rio.com) says the distance of 89.7 kilometers would take an hour and 33 minutes to travel by taxi: http://www.rome2rio.com/s/Taiping/Lumut.
