On 1948, it started its international operations. Its international services, started with a weekly flight from Mumbai to London. In the early 1950’s, the government decided to nationalize it. On 1953, two autonomous corporations were created, namely Indian Airlines and Air India International. Indian Airlines was formed to operate domestic services, while Air India International was established to operate the overseas services. In 1962, the word ‘international’ was dropped.

You are as able as am I to use several of those flight search engines to track down various airfare claims — I have not got any secret search engine all my own that beats the others. So I am not going to recommend any, nor am I going to quote any actual fares — depending upon when you see this post, the fare quote could be ridiculously out of date.
One website I occasionally enjoy visiting just for its relevant flight trivia is FareCompare.com:
Did You Know?
- 174,793 seats are available per day to fly out of Jakarta, ID connecting to Bangkok, TH
- Kuala Lumpur, MY is the most popular connection for one stop flights between Jakarta, ID and Bangkok, TH.
